Odometer Reading August 20, 2008
Posted by admin in : Stories , trackbackThis afternoon I was driving my daughter to Summer Band Camp and I was telling her about the latest in my video blog series on my personal blog, but that was having trouble posting it on YouTube.
Part of the video blog had me making a joke about the odometer in the Mustang reading 101101, and that it was a binary odometer (she didn’t get that part) but also that it was a palindrome (I think she understood that part.)
So we both looked down at the odometer and saw our friend 1111. We rushed to snap a pic with her Palm Centro.

Yes, we all know what that means.
It means I need to upgrade my blackberry so I can do my own picture taking!

Well where do I start. After seeing 1111 for three years or so and putting it down to coincidence, I went to bed one night and slept for about 20 minutes. Then I awoke with a start as being slapped. I was staring right at my clock to read 11: 11. It shook me enough that I couldn’t get back to sleep for half an hour.
Many times I have pulled into a parking lot and reached down to turn the key and seen the clock at exactly 11:11. It wasn’t so much seeing the 11:11 has the fact that I had parked at exactly 11:11 even though I had not been watching the clock. As I have said this has happened many times.
But think about this. Did someone or something change the time to match my arrival or was my progress to that point governed so that I would reach their get that exact time.
Many other things have happened to me like this besides just seeing 11:11 on the clock. Twice I have checked my watch for the time and have seen 11:11:11. I had to check my watch at the exact second for this to happen.
